If it ain't broke......

You know the saying that goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"? What does that say about the people who are unconsciously looking to create problems all the time just so that they have something to "fix"? Could it be that they are persons who are not in harmony with their souls? That their souls are trying to tell them that they are the ones that need fixing; that they need to be in touch with the universe, nature and their surroundings?

And what about artists, architects, interior designers, musicians or creators of art forms in some way or another? Art is a form of expression that comes from the soul. When our minds can't find the right words to express what our souls are feeling, then we use art, and colors, and form, and compose music that reflect the vibrations emitted by our souls.

Anyone want to share their opinion on this? I'm interested in reading your comments!

In the meantime, hope you like my new creation from my soul, my "Melia Bib Crochet Necklace":

  1. When I look at my own drawings I see different reflections of my soul that I might not have otherwise seen or known about.

For me, I don't know of any way of drawing except directly from my heart, that is, without thinking in advance about what I'm going to draw.

The colors that you chose for your necklace are simply beautiful -they remind me of the beach.

  2. I agree with you Sunny. If I follow my heart, I know that I can't go wrong.

  3. What does that say about the people who are unconsciously looking to create problems all the time just so that they have something to "fix"?...I think these are people who's souls are broken, lost.

As for artists....Art is the primal expression of the soul. :) Great post.

  6. Thanks Becca! What you say is very true, I guess that's why we (artists) are not trouble makers :0) We have a way to help us think of solutions to inevitable problems, or even sometimes think of how to avoid them altogether.

  7. hmmm sometimes the act of actually starting to make a new piece that has been manifesting in my head leads to problems that otherwise would not have been obvious if this new piece was not being made. That can make me frustrated and resentful because something I thought would be an easy process ends up being difficult and frustrating. But it is the determination to problem solve the particular problem, that in the end wins over, and when the issues are resolved I feel a rapid sense of relief. You always learn something by problem solving no matter how minor.

  8. I agree with you kriket, but then that also helps you for when you want to make a new piece, you sort of know what to avoid in order to make the process of creating something a bit more pleasant.
